EATI is on Facebook

I've set up a group on Facebook for EATI, another way to let everyone know what's happening in the world of international tax training.

Working on the 2010 Annual Congress programme

I've set myself a deadline of the middle of June to finish the programme for the Annual Congress on 21-22 October. Fred Gander has agreed to chair again this year, which is excellent news, he's a great supporter of EATI.

The theme this year is anti-avoidance in all its forms. All governments are looking to raise extra revenue so there will be lots to talk about.

Speaking of which, the UK emergency budget will be announced on 22 June, probably giving us lots more to think about.

If anyone reading this has suggestions for the Congress, session topics or speakers, let me know.

Welcome to the EATI blog

Lots of things are happening at EATI as we approach 2010.

The new year's course programme is now finalised and is available for online booking. All the popular courses are still there.

New for 2010 is a range of courses to help students of the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation's Advanced Diploma in International Taxation. There are courses for the US, China and EC options in paper 3 (the one which requires students to demonstrate their knowledge of a taxation system foreign to them) and there's one for the main paper on principles of international tax. Check out the details at

If you want to know more about ADIT, go to The CIOT are working to establish a universally recognised qualification in international tax.

Back to EATI, we're still building our range of transfer pricing courses too, and we now run local language courses in France and Germany, as well as our courses in London.

There will be some interesting developments in transfer pricing for EATI next year - watch this space!
